LDR Light Sensor Module
Technical Overview
The Photosensitive LDR Sensor Module is a smart and responsive light-sensing interface developed for detecting and interpreting changes in ambient illumination. At its core, the module combines a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) with an integrated LM393 comparator, transforming variations in surrounding light into useful electrical signals for automated control and monitoring systems. Its A0 analog output provides a continuously changing voltage for tracking light intensity, while the D0 digital output delivers a defined switching response once the adjustable light threshold is reached. An onboard sensitivity adjustment potentiometer allows the detection level to be tuned according to the application, giving designers greater control over system behavior. With its straightforward microcontroller interface, the module is well suited for automatic lighting, daylight detection, smart home automation, security systems, solar tracking, and interactive electronics projects.
