Technical Overview

The BH1750FVI Digital Light Intensity Sensor Module (GY-30) is a compact and highly accurate ambient light measurement module designed for smart lighting, IoT automation, weather monitoring, and energy-efficient control systems. Unlike conventional LDR-based circuits that require external components and analog signal calculations, the BH1750FVI provides direct digital lux measurements through its integrated 16-bit ADC and I2C communication interface. With a measurement range of approximately 1 to 65,535 lux, it can detect subtle changes in surrounding illumination with excellent resolution. Its low-power operation, simple two-wire communication, selectable measurement modes, and compact design make it easy to integrate with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller platforms.
