AD8232 ECG Sensor
Technical Overview
The AD8232 ECG Sensor is a compact, versatile single-lead ECG signal conditioning module that captures and processes low-level electrical cardiac signals for educational, wearable, and biomedical electronics projects. The module is based on the integrated signal conditioning architecture AD8232. It combines the amplification and filtering function, thus giving a cleaner analog ECG waveform which is then further processed by a microcontroller or data-acquisition system. The integrated noise-reduction and signal-filtering circuitry helps improve waveform clarity and the dedicated lead-off detection enables easy monitoring of electrode connectivity during operation. The module is easy to use with an analog output interface. It can be connected to Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other compatible platforms for ECG waveform visualization, heart-rate monitoring prototypes, fitness projects and experimental bio-signal applications.
