L293D Driver IC
Technical Overview
An L293D Quadruple Half-H Driver IC is a high-voltage, high-current integrated circuit designed to drive inductive loads such as DC motors, stepper motors, relays, and solenoids. Encapsulated in a standard 16-pin Dual In-line Package (DIP-16), it contains two full H-bridge driver channels capable of driving two DC motors bidirectionally or one bipolar stepper motor. Printed clearly with part number "L293D" (STMicroelectronics branding), it incorporates built-in internal clamp diodes to suppress inductive back-EMF voltage spikes from inductive loads.
This product is featured by Famephase Electronic Accessories as an essential power control component for robotics projects, small electric vehicle platforms, CNC movement systems, solenoid controls, and microcontroller motor driver shields.
