5mm Common Cathode RGB LED
Technical Overview
A 5mm Common Cathode RGB LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a multi-color semiconductor light source containing three independent LED dies (Red, Green, and Blue) within a single 5mm clear epoxy package. Operating on a common cathode architecture, all three internal LEDs share a single ground (negative) pin, while individual control pins power each color channel. By adjusting the current or applying Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to each anode lead, it can produce a full spectrum of colors, including various shades, pastels, and white light.
This product is featured by Famephase Electronic Accessories as an essential component for dynamic multi-color status displays, ambient lighting effects, decorative electronics, and interactive microcontroller projects.
